The statics class set provides low-threshold access to important static principles for primary school science lessons. The primary learning objective is static-constructive building and to sharpen the children's awareness of the surrounding static and constructive issues. They construct, explore and reflect in a playful and practical way. Pupils build simple models independently or in teams.

Content-related competence:

Stability and strength in technical constructions, discover relationships between load-bearing capacity and connection of structural elements, construct buildings and supporting structures experimentally, learn about functional characteristics of supporting structures, trusses, system of beams and columns, recognize the skeleton construction method in various structures in their environment, understand compressive and tensile forces, the system of triangular bracing, transfer characteristics of a stable construction to a movable one, stability/balance, two-sided lever arm.

Time required:

As a rule, it should be possible to cover individual topics within one lesson. The time required for experimentation, evaluation and discussion is estimated at approx. 45 minutes.
