Photo transistor

The photo transistor is also referred to as a "brightness sensor." It's a sensor that responds to brightness. In a light barrier, it serves as the counterpart to the lens lamp. In high brightness, when the transistor is illuminated by the lens lamp, it conducts electricity. If the light beam is interrupted, the transistor does not conduct electricity.
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light. The abbreviation comes from the English term "light-emitting diode." When an electric current flows through the diode, it emits light. The wavelength (color of the light) depends on the semiconductor material and the doping. LEDs emit white light.
Mini switch

Switches are classified as touch sensors. When the red button is pressed, a contact is mechanically switched inside the housing, allowing electricity to flow between the terminals.
XS Motor

The XS motor is an electric motor that is exactly as long and as tall as a fischertechnik building block. Additionally, it is very lightweight. This allows it to be installed in places where there is no space for larger motors. The XS motor is designed for a supply voltage of 9 volts and a maximum current consumption of 0.3 amperes.
NTC Resistor

NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) resistors, also known as thermistors, are semiconductor resistors that are temperature-dependent. They have a strongly negative temperature coefficient. NTC resistors decrease their resistance value as temperature rises, thus conducting better. Conversely, as temperature decreases, the resistance value increases, leading to poorer conduction. Because the resistance values are temperature-dependent, they are not calculated but rather read from the characteristic curves provided in datasheets.
